I am forever a firm believer in taking a natural, proactive approach to health care; for people and animals.
Nutrition, exercise, and rest, combined with periodic medical checkups can keep horses and dogs moving and functioning without incident. But sometimes physical, and even environmental, stressors can interrupt normal performance.
Massage Therapy experience, through working on horses of many different breeds, ages, conditions, and injuries has given me a more complete understanding of the end result I strive for.... to restore muscles to natural motion.
In order for any movement actions to be performed, muscles must flex, and relax. This is what muscles do in their natural motion.
Many different physical, environmental, and situational stressors can interfere with the natural motion of muscles because......... *tension prevents the relaxation of muscles, which must follow flexion*
*Relaxation
must
follow flexion*
Primary objectives, with every horse or dog, are to free up movement in the muscles, increase synovial fluid to the joints, increase range of motion, and release toxins in the muscular and other body systems. These collective accomplishments work together in....
restoring muscles to natural motion.
